Job Title: Field Civil Engineer

Description

• Ensure that all Civil Engineering projects being assigned are done within the stipulated time in a cost effective manner without compromising quality and HSE.
• Have good working knowledge in reinforced concrete & steel structural designs with good proficiency use of civil engineering software e.g. STAAD PRO.
• Ensure that all civil engineering designs for equipment foundation slabs, beams and column are well prepared, reviewed and approved by line managers. Understand the application of British, Euro and American civil engineering codes during designs
• Have the ability to prepare AutoCAD design drawings and scope of work for smaller and capital Civil engineering projects.
• Have good working knowledge in the application of Concrete design and prescribed mixes.
• Ensure good quality control as outlined in work scope for mixing concrete during construction.
• Have the ability to prepare work programmes and project execution plan using project management software’s e.g. Microsoft project, primavera etc. for planning of projects.
• Ensure that work programme and project execution plan are developed prior to commencement of any civil project.
• Ensure that resource allocation and earned value management are applied to all civil engineering project for progress tracking
• Have good working knowledge in the design, scope of work development and construction supervision for swamp drilling location site preparation.
• Ensure that all swamp drilling location scope of work are well detailed and well site locations are prepared as planned in line with the drilling sequence
• Ensure close supervision and good quality work.
• Have good working knowledge in the design, scope of work development and construction supervision for land drilling location site preparation.
• Ensure that all land drilling location scope of work are well detailed and well site locations are prepared as planned in line with the drilling sequence Ensure close supervision and good quality work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree (B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering).
• Candidate must be COREN registered with 5 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering management or Business related topics are added advantages.
• Candidate must a minimum of five years’ experience in land and swamp drilling site preparation
