Job Description

• Ensure that material selection and corrosion management strategies for oil and gas facilities will provide technical integrity during a project life cycle,
• Support the various mechanical integrity/Facility & Construction teams specifying particular cathodic system need for new construction and existing infrastructure where required.
• Design, inspect and oversee drilling /installation of new cathodic protection Groundbed Deepwell for new and old facilities
• Provide Corrosion /Materials engineering input to other disciplines to assure design outputs are consistent with the output of other engineering disciplines
• Maintain corrosion program, Policies, Standard procedure /Guidelines, assist Qa/Qc functions in materials selection for
• Coating/Painting works, Assist asset integrity in management /monitoring of data for external corrosion from regular surveys, Review materials compatibility and coating requirements for new, existing facility and general construction

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelors degree in Chemical /Mechanical/Metallurgy &Material Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years cognate experience in Corrosion Engineering in the Oil & Gas industry
• Professional Membership in Corrosion Engineering
